I finally did it!

 Hey!

Well, I finally did it.  I got my original pattern "Mother's Tree" listed for sale in my Etsy shop.  I have 2 versions:  one where you chart out your family names/dates and one where I chart all the names/dates for you.

You can find both versions in my shop at:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/XedStitches

Finish It Up Challenge - another one done!

Hey Everyone!

I've finished another item on my FIU list!  I listed pretty much everything I had set aside for my Etsy shop, XedStitches!  All I can say is, "Whew!".

I listed:

  • 38 quilting patterns
  • 18 quilting magazines
  • 7 sewing patterns
  • 8 quilting books
  • 10 cross stitch magazines
  • 5 cross stitch leaflets
  • 6 cross stitch kits (including 2 Winnie the Pooh!)
  • 1 rescued finished cross stitch piece (Hinzeit Mini Blocks, Fishing - framed!)
I'm tired now but glad I got it done!

2018 FIU Update

I've finally made progress on a couple of my list items:  adding "stuff" to my Etsy shop and my Bullseye Quilt.
On the Etsy progress:  I'm mostly done with adding the cross stitch items, but I have quite a few quilting items still to add.  For my blog readers, I have a coupon code BLOGREADER which will give you 5% off any purchase over $10 (does not apply to shipping).

https://www.etsy.com/shop/XedStitches?coupon=BLOGREADER

On my Bullseye quilt, I'm about 75% done.  The way it is rolled on my frame, I can actually see the far border but am still stitching on the blocks.
  • Stitch a design for the candlescreen that I have
  • Finish hand-quilting the Bullseye Quilt
  • Finish the log cabin star wall hanging
  • Start hand-quilting my grand aunt's grandmother's flower garden quilt top
  • Clean up the nook area in my sewing room - made a start, barely
  • Finish the mystery quilt top I've started - finished 3 February
  • Clean and re-frame my hummingbirds cross stitch
  • Post all the stuff I have waiting to be listed in my Etsy shop
  • Clean up my scrapbooking area
  • Make a start on archival scanning of all my family photographs
  • Get my printed recipes put into my recipe software (Living Cookbook)

Yes, I'm being silly with the strike-through on the list.

The scanning of my family photos might not happen this year.  My flatbed scanner died, may it R.I.P.  I loved that thing!  I'm saving up for a new-ish one.  I don't need one of the really new ones, just something a bit newer that what I had.  It'll have to work with my old-ish laptop which is why I'm avoiding a truly new one.

Christmas Stitching Challenge

Well, there's nothing to report on my Christmas stitching - I haven't done any.

I have been working on my La Belle Dame...  Since I haven't finished a page, I haven't rotated to any other project, Christmas or otherwise.

In other news, I am making a start on adding listings to my Etsy shop, XedStitches.  I just finished sorting out the items I need to list:  magazines, leaflets, books, kits, etc.  There is a lot!  Not only do I have a bunch of cross stitch stuff, there is quite a bit of quilting and sewing too.

I currently have 222 items for sale in my shop and by the look of my office area, I'll be close to doubling that!  (whew!)

Etsy Shop BIG update!!

Whew!  I really thought this update would never end!

I've just added 125 items to my Etsy shop, XedStitches

Just added are a bunch of kits, magazines, leaflets, a couple of books, a couple pieces of fabric...and more!

Now, I'm going to go take a nap.  zZzZzZz

Oh, for my readers, there is a coupon code:  BLOGREADER.  Spend $10 or more before shipping and get 5% off (shipping not discounted).

Dragonflies WIP update

Well, I finished another page (partial) on my QS Dragonflies!  I've now completed the first 3 pages and the top row.

I've made a start on the 4th page already.  If I'm lucky, I'll finish this in time for this round of the HAED Reward Program

In other news, I've added a few books to my Etsy shop, XedStitches.  I've also started switching the postage to calculated shipping.  That means that I'll ship to almost anywhere in the world now!  Unfortunately, postage from the US to anywhere else is expensive but hopefully, the exchange rate will be in your favor.

Happy Stitching!
