Finished Diamond Painting

This post contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Last night, I finished a 3-D diamond painting kit that my hubby got me for Christmas.  He bought me 4 in total and this is the 3rd one I’ve finished.  I stored the other 2 before I thought to take pictures…I’ll photograph them next Christmas.

It took me about 8-10 hours (I wasn’t paying attention to the time).  This one had 21 different colors/sizes of diamonds.  I’m not sure where he got them, but here’s a similar one on Amazon:  Christmas Tree diamond painting kit.

Now I’m going to go back to my SAL.

HAED SAL page finish

 Hey Everyone!

I finished the first page on my SAL Glistening Wings.

I’m taking a short break to watch the Rams/Panthers game (NFL) ‘cause the winner plays my team the Seahawks next week.  I’ll be sticking with my SAL pattern for the foreseeable future since I really want to finish this one this year.

Happy Stitching!

HAED SAL 2026 progress

 Hey Everyone!

Just this once, I’m going to share a partial page photo.  I chose Glistening Wings for this year’s SAL.  At the moment, I have a little bit of a wing showing (the blue area).  I’m doing this on 40ct. linen, in true half stitches.

The main reason that I’m doing a progress post before I finish a page is to explain the progress meter showing on the right —>.

I’m “old school” and stitch from paper copies, highlighting stitches that I’ve finished.  I can’t get an accurate total stitch count that way, so I only count totally completed 10x10 sections of the pattern.  So the progress meter shows that I’ve done 4,000 stitches which is about half way through the blue area horizontally.  Obviously by the photo you can tell that I’ve done more than that, but I’m not going to count all those random stitches.

I’ll probably update the meter after every stitching session, but I won’t be doing more progress photos until I have page finishes.

Happy Stitching!
