Blog Hop and WIP progress

Well, so far, I'm disappointed that no one apart from my friend Margaret has joined in on the blog hop I'm trying to start.  :-(

For anyone that does participate, I am giving away a blackwork heart pattern.  I've also decided to put everyone's name into a drawing for a $10 gift certificate to 123Stitch!

And now for a WIP photo!  This is my HAED BB SAL project QS Mystic Garden.  I've finished pages 1 & 3 now.

Coming soon...

I've decided to start a blog hop here on my blog.  The first blog hop will be on November 1st and will run through November 14th.  The second blog hop will start on November 15th.

Since hosting a blog hop is new to me, I expect there may be a kink or two.  Hopefully not, but you never know.  Anyone who participates in this first hop will receive one of my personal designs: a blackwork-style heart pattern!  I'm not going to post a picture of what it looks like when it's done.  I'm going to let it be a surprise.  Yes, I know, that's not nice making you wait but I do have a little mean streak in me.  ;-)

While I do have a bunch of questions already lined up, if you have a question that you would like to see used as a future blog hop, just email it to me.

Pattern Giveaway

Well, since no one guessed correctly in the previous giveaway that I offered, I decided that I would do a giveaway that will have a definite winner!

I will give a Scottish tartan cross stitch pattern to a random winner.  All you have to do is comment on this post to be entered.  On August 31, I will use my randomizer app to select from all those who commented.  The winner will get to choose which tartan they want and the style of the chart (full tartan, terrier, heart, etc.).

If you are the winner and you know that you have Scottish heritage but are not sure which tartan you want, I can research that for you.  Most Scottish surnames do not have their own tartan.

Well, no one even came close!  The floss that I have the most is 800 and I have 27 skeins of it.

I'll definitely have a giveaway sometime in the near future and I promise that it'll be easier!

Now that I've cataloged all my floss, I thought I'd do a floss-related giveaway. 

What you have to do is Comment on this post with the DMC number of the floss you think I have the most of  and how many skeins of that color.  Now since DMC has 450+ solid colors, I will narrow it down for you.  I will mention that two of the color numbers that I'm going to list are original variegated because at least one of them made my top ten (in quantity).
