Hi Everyone!
I decided to jump on the diamond painting bandwagon. Due to lack of business (a trophy shop relies on sports, gatherings, events, etc.), hubby's been a bit bored. I didn't really think it would be something he'd do, but I ordered a couple of diamond painting kits - one for each of us. However, I did keep in mind that I would probably end up doing the one I bought for him.
I got this one for hubby: American Eagle
I've already made a start on it 'cause he said he didn't have the dedication to do it. ;-) Here's my progress after about 2 hours:
Both kits use square diamonds. I'm starting from the bottom 'cause it seemed I would be less likely to come into contact with the sticky part of the canvas. I used a straight edge along the bottom edge so that I'd have a good, straight foundation for the rest of the diamonds.
I folded up the cover sheet to just above where I was working. I held it in place with a piece of scotch tape with the top end folded over so I could remove the tape when I was done for the day. Because I have a cat, I'm keeping it covered when I'm not working on it.
I got this one for myself: Police Box
I figured I'd do "his" first so that I'll be motivated to finish it so I can do "mine". He's not a Whovian, so when I get mine done, I'll hang it in my room upstairs.
I have been enjoying working on the eagle picture. It's similar "construction" to cross stitch but faster to do. For me, it's a more mindless activity so I enjoy the break from thinking.
Happy Stitching!
